It is a program orchestrated to provide health educational and promotional services to school children. The first beneficiaries of this program were the children and management of the Inner City School; a mission outreach institution that caters for street children and the homeless; who are now replicating the program as a form of outreach to less-privileged communities and children. Till date, over 50 communities and over 5,000 children have benefited from the program.
Its focus is on Personal Hygiene, Dental Care, Prevention of Malaria and De-worming exercises being facilitated by teams of medical doctors and paramedics. Our reach includes pupils, staff & management of the institutions.
The School Health Program is in consonance with MDG4 (millennium development goal), WHO’s Child Environmental Health Program and Global School Health Initiative.
